November Favourites

November beauty favourites 2014 makeup blogger picks

It's December, yaaay! It's the month of festivities, food and booze and I'm so excited that it's almost Christmas. Although I'll be spending Christmas at home with my family, it's my first Christmas living away from home and I'm really excited to decorate our flat and get our own tree. We've bought a fair few little bits for around the house recently and it's really starting to look more homely; a Christmas tree and decorations will be the next addition. Moving away from Christmas, I've had quite a few beauty favourites this month that I've really looking forward to sharing in this post, so here they are.

I've been using this non stop since I bought it and am obsessed. It gives a perfectly natural but long, dark lash with not a clump in sight! I've found this mascara doesn't give the thickest eyelashes possible, but to be honsest, I've found the thicker a mascara makes my lashes the more likely I am to have clumps. Despite this, it adds to your natural lashes the ideal amount of dark colour and length. I'm not head over heels with the £20+ price tag on this mascara as it's a teeny tiny tube, but for someone looking for a high quality mascara that gives a gorgeous natural, yet lengthy lash this may be one to try.

Vaseline is my go to lip therapy throughout the year, but as it's been getting colder I've found myself reaching for it more and more. During the summer I tend to wear the rose tinted version of Vaseline's Lip Therapy, but during November my taste turned more towards rich, comforting scents and this Vaseline Cocoa Butter meets that criteria perfectly. It's utterly nourishing, smells delish and I can't leave the house without it.

This has been my holy grail foundation since forever. It suits my oily skin perfectly and I absolutely love the buildable coverage that it gives. My nanny always reminds me how good mineral make-up is for your skin and when I wear this I definitely feel it; it's lightweight and creates zero cakiness. I've written a full review of this beauty here if you'd love the full low down.

As you can see I've loved this blusher a lot and have hit the bloody pan. My pet peeve when it comes to blog photos, but I couldn't leave this out of my November favourites! The light pink shade of this blush is gorgeous for those days where I want a subtle yet beautiful touch of colour to my cheeks without being too dark. It's super feminine, lasts for the majority of the day and applies like a delicate dream.

I think Marc Jacobs basically designed this bottle for beauty bloggers. Normally my rounded perfume bottles roll around all over the place when I try to photograph them flat, but Daisy Dream was held in place with the flowers on the packaging. Is this a blogger's dream come true or what?! As well as being a dream in the packaging sector, I've adored this gorgeous fragrance for a few months now. I started digging all my winter perfumes out when I moved, but I've recently found myself coming back to this during the day, every day. Read my full review of Daisy Dream here!

I'm not a fan at all of fiber pen highlighters and I can't fault the easy application of Topshop's Glow. If I only want a touch of glisten on my complexion I have easy control over it and I find this gives me just the right amount of highlight without looking oily or overly shiny. The balance between glowing and matte skin is still maintained and perfect. I'd recommend anyone who can't find their match made in heaven highlighter to give this a try.

  1. I love the rosy pink colour of the blusher! And the perfume looks absolutely beautiful too. I must try it out sometime! X x x

  2. Ohhhh that blusher! I don't think there's anything wrong with showing that you've hit pan on a blog photo! It's absolute proof that you really do love it lol. I need to get my hands on one of those little Topshop Highlighter pots ASAP! Been after one for ages! & BareMinerals is my absolute fave too, can't beat the finish it leaves. I even love popping a bit over any liquid foundation that I wear just to finish it off. Fab picks xx
