The Library Of Fragrance Moonbeam

The Library Of Fragrance Moonbeam Review Thierry Mugler Angel Dupe

The Library Of Fragrance is the Yankee Candle of the beauty world. Browsing through their 101 fragrance collection is an exciting task on it's own, they have a multitude of singular fragrances from Cherry Blossom to Pizza so choosing just one out of this amazing, intriguing bunch is something that took me a damned long time. If you're looking to buy, you'll probably end up with two or three in your shopping basket, and I don't blame you; you're really spoilt for choice and variety. The fragrance I finally narrowed it down to Moonbeam, which although I had no idea what to expect I absolutely love as a winter evening fragrance.

The predominant notes in Moonbean are vanilla and chocolate whilst some of it's lighter notes are green leaves, jasmine and amber. During the day I'm a massive fan of light, delicate fragrances but of an evening, especially during the colder months, I absolutely adore rich, nostalgic notes such as chocolate. The desire for these sorts of scents during the cold evenings is like the desire to eat hot foods and mince pies; it gives me an undeniable feeling of cosy warmth and homeliness. The gorgeous combination of notes makes this scent almost identical to Thierry Mugler's Angel, so if you're looking for a budget dupe, this is where to find it!

The scent itself although it is gorgeous, it does fade relatively quickly. The top notes still linger subtly but the scent isn't quite as strong as when you first spritz it, which is fine by me as The Library Of Fragrance describe their fragrances as being 'simple, subtle singular scents' and I feel like this corresponds perfectly with the low-key, subtle yet unique attitude of the collection. If you would want the scent to linger a little longer, just pop a little Vaseline on your pulse points before spritzing (read more here).

I've adored this Library of Fragrance scent and I haven't been the only one in our household either; James has claimed this as 'ours' he loves it as much as I do. It's a fabulously seductive, nostalgic scent which is definitely a must have for the winter for anyone searching for a new and unique fragrance.
