Hangover Survival Guide

It's Saturday morning. Last night the drinks were flowing, memories were made but now you've got a nasty hangover to deal with. People experience hangovers in different ways, for some people it's a day of headache while for others it's a morning of throwing up but however your hangover takes hold, here is some advice to ease the pain and pamper your body after a night of turning up.

A night out generally means for me a lazy night time make-up routine. This normally means a quick sweep of micellar water over my face but that's it. As well as filling your body with toxins through booze, giving yourself dull skin due to your late night and not properly cleansing before bed a night out can take its toll on your skin. A face mask is exactly what you need to detoxifying your complexion after a night out to restore it to its former glory.

Alcohol dries out your brain and makes it harder for your body to re-hydrate, so you've got to do a lot more water drinking than usual to make sure you're body's water is restored. Drink more than your recommended amount throughout the day to replenish your water levels and if you can try to drink a whole glass of water before going to bed after your night out to ease your hangover the following morning. Also keep in mind that if you throw up you're body will lose lots of water so even if you've just drank a whole bottle, after throwing up drink more.

A hangover is a good of an excuse if any to pamper yourself. Your body is probably aching from a bad nights sleep so pamper yourself to ease your aches and pains. Bath oils are a great way to achieve luxury pampering from the comfort of your own home, so invest in some to sooth your body after a night out. Follow your bath by massaging some body oils or body butter into your skin to moisturise and relax your entire body.

Whilst all you may want to eat is carbs, carbs and more carbs try to also eat foods that are rich in vitamins to boost your body and revitalize your mind. Whilst I know that carbs do make you feel better when hungover (I just want to eat and eat) make sure you're also balancing your hungover diet with fruit and vegetables so you're not just settling your stomach but also treating your body well.

Nurse yourself from hungover to full health in no time with these tips so your morning after the night before no longer has to be a nightmare.
