Downwards and Upwards Spiraling

It's been three weeks since my last post, but it honestly feels like it's been forever since I published a blog post. I've tried a few times to sit down and write, but even when I've had the time my mind just hasn't been in the right space at all. Honestly, starting my last year at university hit me like a tonne of bricks and it definitely didn't help that I was feeling negative about it before it even started; I feel like there is so much I need to do in such a small space of time and then once I'm done I won't even be able to enjoy it because I'll be so anxious about getting a job. It's been almost two months since I started again and I only just feel like I'm starting to find my feet...maybe, kind of.

It's difficult to know because I am so up and down at the moment. During the time I've taken to write these few sentences (I've been cooking and browsing Instagram whilst doing this also), I've already going from a high to a low, so honestly I can't predict if my head will be any more focused on blogging, but I am going to make more of an effort to start doing things I enjoy again, which means writing, talking about makeup, putting makeup on, trying new products. Before now I've tried really hard to make my blog informative and full of advice, which I definitely want to still do, but I feel like I'm going to start being a little bit more personal on my blog. It's kind of for selfish reasons, I undoubtedly feel like writing is a form of therapy for me, but if it helps anyone else and is interesting for you guys along the way, that would be a good bonus I guess! I'm not going to sit here and promise that from this moment on I'm going to be posting every day of the week and loving life to the max and be the most productive person I've ever been, because really it's not going to happen but I am going to just try to have something to be happy about.

Anyway, this wasn't meant to be a particularly interesting post, I just feel like I need to take baby steps at the moment and I just wanted to let my readers know. If I still have any. On that overwhelming positive note I will wrap this up, and hopefully I'll get something a little more exciting up in the near future.

  1. I think that going in a more personal direction for your blog is a good choice. It would help us as readers connect with you more and get to know you. I personally enjoy reading about things going on in people's lives. I also totally get you about writing being a form of therapy. It really helps getting thoughts written out. I like how blogs can serve as a sort of journal for daily happenings as well as random scattered thoughts and feelings.
Can't wait to see what else you will post :)

  2. I missed ya lady but you know I feel the same, it's time, effort and only wanting to do it when you *want* to and have the passion xxx
